Summary
State of the Art:
So fare verification and alignment of organic specific cattle breeding is not possible as agriculture method is not labelled in the herdbook.
Definition of the problem:
Conditions in organic agriculture (e.g. nutrient cycling, and restriction in feeding) demands some alignment concerning cattle breeding (e.g. good performance out of roughage).
Project aims:
- analysis of the genetic of organic herdbook farms
- comparison with the total population
- analyse of possible regional distinctions
- deduce call for action
Methodology:
Statistical analysing of herdbook data according to certification information.
